End-of year Charitable Donation
Please remember that the USC Crew Team is funded entirely by donations, fund-raising activities, and member fees.
As the end of the year approaches, many people look for sources of income tax relief in the form of donations to
not-for-profit entities.
The USC Crew Team benefits many students from the Upper St. Clair School District, providing a sport
which allows participation at the local, regional, and national levels. Several of our graduates have been
the beneficiaries of college scholarships directly related to rowing. Membership on the Crew Team instills life
skills in leadership, dependability, responsibility, and teamwork.
Capital Fund for New 4-man Rowing Shell
Our team has grown from 25 rowers in 2008 to around 40 rowers! We've maintained those numbers over the last
two years and didn't have enough equipment to keep all our rowers out on the water. We have purchased a new 8-man rowing
shell from Vespoli (see photo on the About Us page), a welcome addition to our fleet! However, we have seriously
depleated our capital fund and we have additional equipment (our 1995 four-man) that is aging and needs to be replaced.
We are desperately in need of of funds to keep our equipment up to date and operational. Your support through
contributions will keep the entire team on the water with enough equipment.
Thank you very much for considering our crew as you weigh your charitable donation options.

2010-2011 Corporate Sponsorship Program
The USC Crew Team will be posting a very large banner with the names of our corporate sponsors on the side of
our tent at each of our 2010-2011 competitions (two in the spring and three in the fall) including the Head of
the Ohio meet, downtown along the Allegheny River, in front of Heinz field. This multi-state event is attended
by thousands of people who will see our sponsor list. This banner will also be displayed during the Spring
season at the Pittsburgh Sprints Regatta (at Moraine State Park) and Upper St. Clair Community Day.
Your sponsorship to the crew team will provide athletic opportunity for hundreds of students in the Upper St.
Clair Community over the life of this new boat, by providing the benefits already mentioned above. You can
literally change lives in our community by sponsoring better fitness and collegiate opportunities. Please
consider making a tax deductable contribution to the USC Crew Team through the Upper St. Clair Community Foundation
in one of the following categories. Our Team needs your support! Personal sponsorships also welcome.
- Platinum Sponsor - $1,000 or more
- Gold Medal Sponsor - $500
- Silver Medal Sponsor - $250
- Bronze Medal Sponsor - $100
